Gossip Girl here...

Hey Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here. This season we're following our favorite socialites to college...well, most of them. Everyone's favorite It Girl, Serena, who we all thought was destined for Browne, seems to have had a change of heart...and withdrew her admission. Rumor has it her mother won't be too happy. Still, she deserves some credit for keeping the drop out gimmick chic. Here's a couple style ideas inspired by our diva that you won't want to miss. You know you love me. xoxo, Gossip Girl

'I think I know what you mean, but watch what you say'

Load of leather, eh?
I find myself being in total awe of its versatility, and only until this moment did I realize it's true potential. Here are two batches of (albeit crappy) photos in completely seperate weeks. I didn't even think of having some kind of leather theme.

So an ode to leather:

Dearest Leather
That has seen me through so much
Forever to you will I always clutch
Though you might be made out of the skins of animals (unless pleather like mine)
You truly stand the test of time
Thank you for keeping me warm and effortlessly cool
You are a main staple of any closet
Without you, I would truly be a fool

She's out, You're in

So my sister has officially moved to college...10 minutes away. I miss her oodles....but I do get her room! :) I'm about to start refurnishing, but I wanted to get a little shoot in before all hell broke loose. I also got new nail polish; a bright yellow called Hook Up by Orly, my way of extending summer. Mens shirts are one of my favorite laid back casual looks and when it comes to accessories, they can be quite versatile-belted, loose, chunky necklaces, thin necklaces, big bag, no bag, etc. The awesome blogger of "Hella Tuff Street Style" also rocks the mens shirt (check out her fabulous blog!! www.hellatuffstreetstyle.blogspot.com) while Keira Knightley shows her love for fedoras-courtesy of Melissa Liebling-Goldberg. Scarf

Scarves are now a go-to piece to make any outfit trendy. Lots of fringe, peace signs, and cross bones. But scarves used to be a part of keeping a woman beautiful, keeping a man cool or just keeping someone warm.

My favorite scarves are newer, less fringey, more multipurpose and have more focus on interesting details.

♫Sweet 16!

So as you may or may not have known, I turned 16 on Monday the 7th :) PB and I went into the city together and picked up these gorgeous purple tinted heels to go with a dress I got earlier that day that had reminded me of a beautiful BCBG dress that I believe is a part of the Fall collection. The first picture is the amazing cake that my older sister MADE for me with Sleeping Beauty (who turns 16) on it ♥ xoxo, CB

The T-Shirt

I've been getting some fashion how-to questions: like how do you wear one of those old camp tees or graphic tees without being cliche? Here are some examples from Lookbook and Altamira. More explanation to come
