Final Goodbye

Hi all, it's weird to be writing after so long. I know that those of you that have followed from the beginning might have been feeling abandoned, and I want to apologize. Excuses could be given, about busy school life, graduation, and dance. But that's not enough to excuse how I've forgotten about the people who have supported me. Thank you for your comments, opinions, and continued to champion my wacky ways. Fashion was a way to express myself, to definitively set myself a part from everyone else. The problems was that in my effort to be different, I wasn't being true to myself. I now understand that fashion is self-expression as a package, it allows you to tell the outside world if you want to be approached and how you feel about yourself. I no longer need to dress so wildly because I am much more comfortable with myself. I wish for all of you to find what makes you comfortable and happy. Take risks with your life and your style, and when you find it never let others make you feel less because of it. Remember that the Cocoa Boot and I are there for you, just as you were for us.

Thank you for four amazing years!
Much love,
Becki Schwartz a.k.a The Purple Boot

A Friendly Surprise & Some Fabulous Dresses

Yes, I will admit, I'm already on the lookout for prom dress inspirations/ideas. The feathery one is Jason Wu and the second is by Badgley Mischka...I loved them both! And I had to put this picture of me at Chicago Unified Auditions with my friends from Michigan and Puerto Rico that I spent my summer with! love you guys, so great to see you!

Shall I get 'em all cut?

I love Katy Perry's hair in her music video for "the one that got away" (I'm also in love with the song <3) and I've been thinking for a while if I should cut my hair like that. I'm staying with my natural blonde hair (for now) but I adore the 70's and want something kinda choppy. What do you think? Can choppy be low maintenance and still chic?

Also, I've come to the realization that I have the weirdest dreams....last night I was in my back yard with my aunt and her dog and I went into my garage and found my lost prada glasses (oh how I wish that were true) and came out to find her with a squirrel on her shoulder explaining to me that we need to "save the baby squirrel" that had just hatched from a plastic egg on the World, meet my unconscious. I should analyze my dreams for psych hehe. Try connecting that to sex and aggression Freud! Wow I've been studying my psych book for too long...

So much for studying...

As I attempt to plow through the pages of my fat AP Psychology textbook to make a massive study guide, I allow myself 5 minute breaks every couple hours...and by that I mean time to be distracted by one of my favorite sites, chictopia. :) Here are some of my fav. finds!

Hehehe I love this picture. Good luck studying everyone!

Back In Business

Do you ever have days where you feel like you're going a little insane trying to figure someone out? And maybe you're upset for caring. But there's a reason for everything.

so I ask you one question:
Before you go lashing out at a friend or giving someone the silent treatment for the way they've been acting, at least let them know why; give them a chance to explain or change. As much as I love theatre, I hate drama. Why end things without trying to fix them first?
Whatever the deal is, this bitch is back.
