Cozy Crochet

It's there, hiding. The leaves on the trees are turning golden, the air feels crisp, and the pumpkins are being left on doorsteps. Fall is playing hide and go seek, where the weather is close to Summer some days, and then a little tease of Autumn. It shakes it's branches at us like a little flirt, lets the leaves dance, then runs away and hides behind the sun or rain. All I want to do is see Fall in full force. That way I can grab a cup of hot apple cider from Starbucks and wrap myself in some cozy knits. Layers, layers, layers, it's my mantra until the weather cooperates and Fall stops being a wanton (i.e: skank)

S-S-Serious Shoe Porn

Some people stress eat. Some people excersize. Some people deal with with problems head on. I choose the less healthy, but much more enjoyable option. I mean, confrontation? Why deal with actual people when the most beautiful pieces of art lie at your finger tips?
Well, my name is Becki and I have a online shopping addiction. It's actually more window shopping seeing as I don't buy anything. Because not having a job is really conducive to a full shopping cart. But anyways, I highly reccomend this highly effective procrastination tool. Also, seriously. My birthday. Think about it.
Don't ignore the shameless selfishness, it's endearing.
Yes, I realize this is most likely the reason I don't have a boyfriend. But look back at my photos! If I shut my mouth I'm really cute!

Little Details

I know I shouldn't "sweat the small stuff", but isn't really all about the details? Today, during a much too hot and much needed lunch break, I couldn't help but stare at the girl across from me. No, I have not finally decided to go gay after my many male misadventures, but I was fascinated by her socks. It must have been 90 degrees and yet here she was, wearing thick, tall knee socks with suede boots. There's got to be something wrong with us (yes I include myself among the fashion literate). We choose to wear the ridiculous, the weird, the unbelievable. We torture feet to fit into heels, suction our stomachs for bandeau dresses. It's crazy! And yet, isn't that what makes fashion so incredible? The need to express oneself so strongly that you can help but wear five inch heels to school or socks on a steaming August day.
