Inspiration is a strange thing. A simple idea for a little-girl-plays-dress-up photo shoot transforms itself into Alice in Wonderland, possessed and innocent dolls. I think the fun of the shoot was letting that transformation happen, allowing our ideas to became reality in ways that we never imagined. So we hope that you enjoy this shoot as much as we did!

Viajar

Blazer: Unknown
Black Tank-Top and Flower Pants: Topshop
Teddy Dress: Someplace in New York
Hat: Roxy
Grey Dress and Sunglasses: Forever21

Welcome to Mexico, where the water is warm, the food is spicy, and the music is feeling rather than a sound. I cannot begin to tell you what a good time I had over winter break (and how heartbreaking it was to come home)! But I can say that I am happy to be starting the New Year. There's something so refreshing about a clean start, it feels like anything is possible!
Here are some of my resolutions:
1) Be kinder.
2) Be more active/ cook more (Cooking counts as being active, right?)
3) POST MORE

What about you, what are your New Year's resolutions?

Unloved

These are some of the last photos from Vancouver. Yes, that was three months ago, but hey. Better late than never. Of course, these aren't all the photos, but I didn't want to bore you guys with the other thousand photos hanging out on my computer. Besides, I'm sick and thinking of all the delicious food that I ate makes me sad. Because as of right now all I can eat is yogurt and chicken noodle soup. Maybe that can become some kind of fad diet. Not so bad, better than living off grapefruit and cabbage leaves. Anyways:

Currently I'm decorating my room for the new house and these flowers are serving as my inspiration. I love not only the bright color, but specifically the detail (yes, we all know my obsession with detail). The way the colors compliment each other, and slowly fade from purple to yellow really drive me to find the same cohesion in my room. Urban Outfitters has become my new favorite website. I'm really hoping for a vintage end table with a record player. Do you think vinyl is worth the investment?

Anyways, this old woman is me in 50 years. I cannot wait to be her. There are so many patterns here she might as well be a fabric store.

Okay, so maybe I have a lot of obsessions. But seriously. That Afro? Pure awesome. I have so many photos of this guy that I should earn a degree in stalking. Him, playing the drums, guitar, tambourine, the xylophone (yes, that's right), and finally this sick steel drum. I firmly believe that I will grow myself a similarly wicked Jew 'fro. Just take away my blow drier.

Once upon a time there was a girl. She was blond, silly, and fashion obsessed. She sat at her window, surrounded by moving boxes, and dreamed of a place where she could go. A place where beautiful clothes were the norm, where people were just as silly as she. Then one day she received a message from the mythical laptop post. It was an invitation to the Akira ball! This girl planned and prepped, ready and waiting for the day of the ball. But when it came, the girl had no fairy godmother, no pumpkin carriage, and no way to make it to the ball. So she pulled out her camera and took photos of her gown. And she keeps dreaming...
