Hi all, it's weird to be writing after so long. I know that those of you that have followed from the beginning might have been feeling abandoned, and I want to apologize. Excuses could be given, about busy school life, graduation, and dance. But that's not enough to excuse how I've forgotten about the people who have supported me. Thank you for your comments, opinions, and continued to champion my wacky ways. Fashion was a way to express myself, to definitively set myself a part from everyone else. The problems was that in my effort to be different, I wasn't being true to myself. I now understand that fashion is self-expression as a package, it allows you to tell the outside world if you want to be approached and how you feel about yourself. I no longer need to dress so wildly because I am much more comfortable with myself. I wish for all of you to find what makes you comfortable and happy. Take risks with your life and your style, and when you find it never let others make you feel less because of it. Remember that the Cocoa Boot and I are there for you, just as you were for us.
Thank you for four amazing years!
Much love,
Becki Schwartz a.k.a The Purple Boot

A Friendly Surprise & Some Fabulous Dresses
Yes, I will admit, I'm already on the lookout for prom dress inspirations/ideas. The feathery one is Jason Wu and the second is by Badgley Mischka...I loved them both! And I had to put this picture of me at Chicago Unified Auditions with my friends from Michigan and Puerto Rico that I spent my summer with! love you guys, so great to see you!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Havin' a fun little sleep over, PB wanted to play around with some old fashioned hair and make up so I got to be her model :) What can we say? It was oodles of fun! *photographed by PB :)

Shall I get 'em all cut?
I love Katy Perry's hair in her music video for "the one that got away" (I'm also in love with the song <3) and I've been thinking for a while if I should cut my hair like that. I'm staying with my natural blonde hair (for now) but I adore the 70's and want something kinda choppy. What do you think? Can choppy be low maintenance and still chic?
