Trains, Elephants, and 3 Sisters

(below) My little sister and my older sister

not quite sure what we were doing here...but it showed the bag well :)

hey everyone-went shopping with my beautiful sisters the other day. I sported my new favorite bag (which i got at a flea market in Africa!) and the 3 of us took the metra to downtown Evanston. I don't know if it's still going on this Saturday, but it turned out that American Apparel has been having a rummage sale every Saturday during the summer-definitely worth checking out if it's up and running. :) We also ventured into Urban Outfitters, where I hoped to purchase a pair of Jane Aldridge (the awesome blogger of Sea Of Shoes- http://seaofshoes.typepad.com/) boots but sadly I didn't find them. Besides that, it was a fantastic day for shopping, but we got lost when we were trying to find NU, which is where my sister's going to go to college and where we were going to have lunch...we found it eventually though! Thanks for the birthday wish pb, I can't wait til Monday!! xoxo, cocoa boot (cb)

Remember This?

The Marie Antionette photos with Kirsten Dunst may be old news, but the new campaign by D&G, Swedish Elle editorial, and Marc Jacobs for Louis Vouttion collection are all new!

Old News

So I know that everyone's heard about the YSL cage shoes, but I just happened upon an old post from Pearls of Wisdom, and found them all over lookbook, so...

I couldn't find Jane Aldridge in her YSL cage shoes, but you get the gist

Stolen from Nerd Girl Blogging

SUMMER MAY BE OVER, BUT THIS MOVIE IS ALWAYS AT HAND. 500 DAYS OF SUMMER IS TOUCHING, FUNNY, AND SURPRISINGLY REAL. I WAS SUPER IMPRESSED BY THE CAMERA WORK AND THE SENSE OF HUMOR THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MOVIE. IT'S MOST DEFINITELY A MUST SEE.

NOT TO MENTION THAT ZOOEY DESCHANNEL DRESS LIKE A GODDESS. MAYBE BECAUSE SHE IS ONE..?

YES, THAT IS HER SINGING IN THE BAND SHE AND HIM

Scary

What do you think of the whole Swedish modebloggare/wannabe modebloggare "scene"?

(fyi: modebloggare = fashion blogger)

Answer: It depends if you're talking about the Swedish 14 year old "fjortis" "modebloggare" (that aren't really "modebloggare" in my opinion) or if you're talking about the "real" fashion blogs! We think the fashion blog scene is interesting and mostly we think it's facinating how big effect they've become to have on the fashion industry and how they've totally taken the fashion magazine's place. I find some fashion blogs interesting and fun reading, but many lack of personality.
On the other hand, if you're referring to the 14 year old fjortis "modebloggare" that buy all their clothes at Gina Tricot, only wear pink and have poorly attached hair extensions in yellowish blonde - those we don't like at all. It's pretty amusing how dumb most of them are though.

THIS INTERVIEW TAKEN FROM SHELLEY AND JOACHIM: LIFESTYLE AND FASION, SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME. I THOUGHT THE FASHION COMMUNITY WAS WELCOMING AND OBLIGING. I THOUGHT WE WERE ALLOWED TO BE 'FJORTIS' UNTIL WE FIGURED OUT HOW TO BE 'MODELBLOGGARES'...

ACK.
