Just Like a Circus

Inspiration has been in short supply lately. Instead of getting the subscription of Elle and Vogue I was so desperate for (or Nylon or Pop...) I ended up with Seventeen. I know I'm being a spoiled brat, but is it too much to ask for a high fashion junkie?

I also love the idea of the body as its own art. It seems that in the United States, Americans are so prudish about their body, and sharing it with others. And at the risk of sounding slightly pervy, I will admit that I like skin. And lots of it. It is the only body we have, be proud of it (Maybe I have been reading too much of that Seventeen body peace treaty...)!

So enough of my 'love yourself' rant. Lets get back to the only thing that matters.

Clothes.

Color, animal print, short hemlines, and tight futuristic fabrics are the first thing making it into my winter closet. I'm thinking ski bunny meets terminator.

I find myself perpetually cold throughout the day, and I wonder what I could to alleviate the situation. Sweaters: cable knits or crocheted have always been suggested, but then the sweat drips down my nose, runs through my eyes (effectively ruining any and all make-up), and my awkward uncomfortableness negates whatever cozyness and warmth the sweater originally had to offer.

So my heat challenged friends, the faux fur vest. I lust for it, salivate over it, and generally pet anyone in a five mile radius who has one on.

Warm Fuzzies and a Cup of Cocoa

Fall is here, and the weather is growing colder; to my (faux) fur vest's ears! Calvin Klein shirt, XXI vest, my favorite pair of jeans and some Aztec Spicy Hot Chocolate are perfect for the chilly days and evenings-high class fur has taken a turn for the spunkier side of life, remaining classy but adding a delectable spice to any outfit-like adding spice to classic hot cocoa!
