An Early Dose of Patriotism

Since I'm taking U.S. History in summer school, I was inspired to do a red, white and blue outfit...early, I know, but why not? :)

Old School Glamour

Trekking with my family through the rainy streets of downtown Chicago, I catch just a glimmer of glamour. The drenched carvings on the side of the Wrigley building, the amazing amount of fedoras that seem to appear at any sign of precipitation, and just the energy of the city itself. Unlike New York, Chicago is a lazy kind of city. It sits back with a cigarette on fire-engine red painted lips and smirks at all those who don't have time for a drag.

Dr. Goodall's Got Style

Jane Goodall is one of my favorite people in the world--she has done so much, even in regards to the fashion world! How? She has been an advocate for the intelligent, creative woman who can make a difference. She's an awesome role model for fashion folk because she encourages people to find a way to take what they're passionate about, pursue it, and use it to help the world and be happy! Since the picture doesn't show the texture of the bangles very well, I figured I'd post a photo of some malachite--I'm obsessed with the shiny fluidity of the stone--it's so enchanted foresty...not that that's an actual word, but you know what I mean

Waka Waka

Summer break is finally here for the Purple Boot and me! Well, sorta...there's still summer school, dance, sewing, more dance, improv., raising a calf, acting, traveling, graduations, jobs, and God knows what else! We apologize for not updating as frequently as we wish we could, but that list is a brief summary of why :( The transition of school year to summer has been harder than one might think, but it's all getting sorted out! I'm so happy you want us to post more, it's awesome to have support and encouragement!
