One Man's Trash is Another Man's Vaud (Ville that is)
Who would ever think to associate rock and roll style, always cool, perpetually hip, with the done and done 80s? Why Alexander Wang, Prozena Schouler (ugh, love), and Betsey Johnson of course! The 2009 runways were trampled by studs, grommets, and-gasp!- shoulder pads. Even chic Givenchy was in on the bedazzled mess.
Luella
Rodarte
Oh, did I forget to mention that fishnets were back? Break those babies out of storage, along with that banned makeup. Yep, all those cosmetic tricks that made you look like the sick fish's net you were wrapped has made its comeback. Who cares if every teen eating disorder hotline throws a fit, or the national model association (or whatever it is) throws a fit; you look like you haven't gotten out of bed in days.

All The Boys Say
You can try as you might not to love him, but every time you're with him your heart flutters and everything just feels right. You don't struggle with conversation, the words seem to just flow from your mouth because all you can think of doing is kissing him. But we forget that it's not just the men that take our breathe way, but the figure they cut in a Armani suit or Prada chinos. So here's to the men (and women) who make our men look Oh!-so-good.
Prada on the Runway
David Beckham for Armani
Giorgio Armani
Miuccia Bianchi Prada
So I won't say I love him, because I refuse to let him worm his way into my heart (no matter how good he looks in that suit!).

Cool Days and Hippie Nights
Etro on the Runway
The saying might be bathe in luxury, but what the hell are we putting on our bodies?! Pull the tag out the back of your shirt and try and determine what polylacotacidfab might possibly be. So in the days of unknown fabrics and cotton commercials (so people can actually recognize it), let us do a hippie, LSD induced dance for Etro. A company that spends time special blending its patterns in a years-old practice? Pass the Hendrix cd and I'll be in heaven.
So here are some pictures commemorating the days of Woodstook, drugs, and peace, and not mention some good old-fashioned hemp.

She's So Sui
Summer can't come soon enough, and Anna Sui is to the rescue to keep girls energized until the very last day of school. With heavy embroidery and bold colors Anna makes everyone sit up and have a little fun. With everyone trying to be a 'recessionista' in cheap fabrics and dull colors it's no wonder that Sui's Spring Ready to Wear line is a breathe of fresh air.
The whole collection was inspired by Spain, but I had my grandmother's vintage party gloves lurking in my closet and I couldn't wait for a chance to break them out. So I decided to do a tea party for one, pearls and fine china included!

May You Never Rest in Peace, Punk
Apparently, punk has died. An old Fashion Rocks article says that punk didn't last long, but I'm here to say it's alive and well.
Viva la Punk!

When I was putting together this outfit I was thinking 'city cowgirl' which is one of the worst oxymorons I've ever heard. It's like jumbo shrimp personified. I think you see the confusion reflected in the outfit, it's not really cohesive but I liked the colors and the heels made me feel good all day.
